Patty Jean Pearson Burkburnett, TX Died: March 02, 2010 Patty Jean Pearson formerly of Burkburnett, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, March 2, 2010 in Houston, TX. after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers at age 74. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 3 PM at First Baptist Church of Burkburnett with Rev. Lamoin Champ presiding. Burial will follow at Burkburnett Cemetery under direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett. Patty was born April 21, 1935 to Ross & Pauline Speer in Barnsdall, OK. She graduated from Bowlegs High School in Bowlegs, OK. and from Oklahoma A&M (now Oklahoma State University) in 1957 with a degree in education. She married James L. Pearson, Jr. March 26, 1959 in Electra, TX. She spent 14 years as an Elementary School Teacher in both the Electra & Burkburnett ISD. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Burkburnett where she was very active in the youth program. Patty is survived by her daughter Cynthia Dunn and her husband Kevin, and grandsons Korbin and Chandler Dunn all of Houston, TX.; Brother Jerry and sister-in-law Mary Carl Speer of Pasadena, TX. ; Sister-in-law Frances & Brother-in-law Delmar England of Wichita Falls and 5 Nieces and 1 nephew. Visitation with the family is set for Friday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.

I'm very sorry to hear of the passing of Patty. She was a kind, Godly woman who had a positive impact on all who had the privilege to know her. She is now free to enjoy all that God has for her. Our prayers are with you!
